TV or Movie?

Would you rather have your favorite novel/series made into a movie or tv show?

For instance gossip girl was supposed to be made into a movie but was adapted into a tv show after numerous accounts of putting it off, and its a really addicting show, which I'm glad became a show since now I have something new to look forward to.

Would you want Harry Potter, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, Georgia Nicolson be made into TV shows instead of movies?

I haven't watched too much of Gossip Girl, but my teens keep telling me I need to. The episodes I have watched I've really liked though.

I would love to see the Georgia Nicolson books become a TV series-I think that'd be hilarous!

One of my fiance's favorite fantasy series, Sword of Truth, is starting a TV series in November and he's really excited. I think it's about time we had more fantasy on TV!

I also think the Gallagher Girl books by Ally Carter would make a good TV series as well.

I say TV series. Movie adaptations tend to need a lot of re-jiggering since a good deal of literature is introspection. The re-jiggering often ends up disappointing viewers who have read the book. A TV show gives the viewer time to get to know the characters, closer to the reading experience.

I write a series and definitely think it could fly as a TV series. As a movie? ::Shrug:: Who knows.

Neither a series nor a movie. A mini-series is perfect if you can get the people at the BBC to do it.
