Yes Cheryl, your info was a great help - I had already been to the website so I was aware of the packages. I feel sure I would be able to commit 30 - 60 min of my time a day to answering blogs etc. For the preliminary set up before the book tour, I would have to make time for whatever is needed. Sounds sort of like what I have been doing for the set up for the company that will try to sell the story as a screenplay. I just found out yesterday that I may have to have some medical tests done on one of my dogs that will require about $625. Yikes!!!!!! So I want to wait until that is resolved due to the money crunch. The next several months at work are historically the months with the least overtime - sometimes none at all so I will aim for setting something up within the next 2 or 3 months. Thanks so much for the info - it is just what I was looking for as I had no idea what to expect. I will be in touch - thanks again.

Hi Cheryl - I happened across your page while I was browsing. I am interested in the Pump Up Your Book Promotion but may have to wait til after the holidays. I work a full time job that usually takes up most of my week days (alot of overtime) and I wonder how my responsibilities of a virtual book tour would fit in to such a schedule. I am new to book publishing and like the website says have no idea of how to go about marketing my book myself. I have sent copies out to radio, tv, & magazine companies and had an ad in the American Paint Horse Journal and I also advertise on TeensReadToo.com. I just recently got an ad spot in a show program for the Stock Horse of Texas Expo and Show too but I know I need much more exposure. (By now I am sure you guessed it is a horse story). I am currently working with Writers Literary Agency on a book to film project as well. (so many of my readers tell me that they see this book as a movie as they are reading it, so I thought, why not!) Come visit my page here on YAYNot and check out my book and let me know what you think. My main concern is do I have time to make a book tour workable for me and do I have to be very computer savvy - I am not. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

My editor is suppose to get back to me after the 12th. She said she'll have a preorder date and other things we need to go over.

Hi Cheryl,
Nice to see you here. This looks like a great site to talk about one of my favorite subjects--YA books. I also need to talk to you in a couple of weeks about my latest book, due out Oct. 15, and a possible tour. Will get in touch.
Have a good weekend.

My Writing World is Changing

Hello all,

In addition, I recently took over the reins of Editor of Musing Our Children's quarterly… Continue
